I am in need of donors who will help me plant trees at the new Marian shrine. The trees we hope to plant would be larger than a sapling, so the cost would be higher. However, the tree would be a living memorial to your family, or someone you would wish to honor. Talk to me after Mass if you are interested. We hope that construction on the Shrine and garden will begin soon and very soon.

At one time, there was a handicapped parking spot in the parking lot behind the offices. It served the side door for what was then the church (now the parish hall). We removed the signage, but the handicapped symbol has remained on the ground.

Someone left a sharp note on an employee’s car threatening to phone the police, thinking she had parked in a handicapped spot. A week later, the police were phoned and the car was ticketed. When we explained to the police that the spot is actually no longer a handicapped spot, the ticket was voided.

I wish this person had phoned or dropped by the office before phoning the police. We could have explained the situation and saved all the drama. We have plans to remove the symbol but the recent rains have delayed that project.

In place of breakfast after Mass, a delicious variety of Hispanic food will be available for sale! Food items will include street tacos, tortas, tamales, enchiladas, desserts and more. Payments of cash or checks will be accepted. All proceeds will benefit St. Eugene.

Steubenville is a three-day long conference offered for high school students during the summer. Teens will have the opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ in Adoration, Mass, and Confession. Praise and Worship is a highlight of the Steubenville experience! Teens will also hear talks from leading Catholic Speakers. Fellowship with fellow Catholic teens from all over the country gives teens the chance to see that the church truly is Universal and we are not alone!
